Thanks again for your assistance. The new Duplicate Report File which
excluded mode was exactly what I needed to get rid of those last lingering
duplicates. I'm still not sure how they got there but at least they're
gone.

I would like to thank everyone who answered my call for help regarding the
1000 odd QSOs missing from my ADIF file.
It was as everyone thought the call G5U was missing from the registration
file.
A big Thank You to Joe WA6AXE who looked through my files and cleared up
some long standing errors.
Its nice to know there are experts out there who help guys stuck like me.

Greetings:
Although I don't have thousands of errors, my log discrepancy appears to be
caused by duplicate entries with the same time stamp.
Over the years I have noticed that downloading from LOTW or importing from
contest programs occasionally adds duplicate entries to my log. This
appears to happen when the mode is different. In other words, if I logged
the qso as RTTY and LOTW has the qso as Digital, I'll get a duplicate entry.
They're easy to pick out but you do need to look at the log.
So at least in my case I haven't lost QSO's, I have gained entries. This
seems to have the same effect on log totals when you run the selection
wizard.
That being said, when I run selection wizard the duplicate doesn't get
picked up and the totals appear different. But in my case it's just because
of the dupe.
I haven't seen thousands but there might be a hundred and I haven't quite
figured out what causes it. I just kind of live with it.
Good Luck,
Fred WX1S

Hello Joe, Ian and all,
Well when I initialise tables I get a error that ZK2VJ (Nuie) is not valid
so I changed the call to E6 ?Maybe I havent changed the database so I think
you all have spotted the problem.
The error on E6 is coming up with ?fix QSO data or update reference
database, (is that on the Files Tab on the group DxBase?) and it is ignoring
that call but would it lose 1389 QSOs?
Initialise Tables the number comes up with 33388 and reset flags comes up
with 34677,

Dave,
Do you have any qso's checked as not valid (red) in the Valid field? If you
do, those will not export to the adif file and that will cause a discrepancy
in the numbers.

Hi Gary - Thanks- I have operated with my short call G5U , GM3RXP and
9H3il and I transferred the QSOs from N1MM using ADIF which seemed to add
them OK but good point - I will check the operator Hi.....
I know that Neal added my GM call to the Licence but I wasnt sure if I
needed to add G5U specifically.

Dave,
Have you ever used a slight variation on your call in DXBase? For example
portable or mobile operations where you've used a leading DXCC country
prefix followed by "/G3RXP"? Or G3RXP/P or G3RXP/M? If the OPR CALL field
in DXBase has a variation of your main call those may not be included in
your adi file if the Opr Call field on the main Wizard screen is checked and
set to just G3RXP. If this is the case uncheck Opr Call and the Wizard
should get all the records in your mdb file.
One other thought. Have you ever operated under a totally different call
and included those records in your mdb data base? For instance a special
event operation or operations done under a club call? If so, you will have
to contact Neil to add those calls to your registration file otherwise they
will never be picked up for output to a adi file.

Joe and Gary,
Gary I Think I have fixed some of the problem- I had the operator on some
contests with G5U and I changed 6 of the calls and my log total went up by 6
so it looks like I need to replace 1000 odd G5U calls as operator. Is there
a fast way of doing this?
Joe can I take you on your fine offer - I know you will be able to fix those
anomalies - once again.
Im just having tea so will zip up the files after Tea.

Dave,
Yes, it there is a way to "fix" the G5U calls, but are you sure you want to
do this? It would seem better to me to have Neil add all your other calls
to the registry file and then export a complete set of QSOs for each of the
various calls into their own unique adi files. These could then be uploaded
in turn to ClubLog provided you have established a unique account there for
each call. After all, those who worked G5U, or one of you other calls will
be looking in ClubLog for that call, not G3RXP!
However, if you still desire to change G5U to G3RXP simply do the following.
First, make a backup of file of your mdb file and give it a slightly
modified file name. For example G3RXP_BAK.mdb. This is important if you
change your mind and want to go back to the beginning.
Now in DXBase go to the first record in your mdb log. Tab over until you
find the "Opr Call" field. Click on that field to place your cursor in the
correct column. Now click on Edit/Replace... The "Find what:" box will
probably have your G3RXP call filled in. Change that to G5U and then in the
"Replace with:" box enter G3RXP. Now click on the "Replace All" button and
DXBase will work its way down through your mdb file and replace each G5U
call it finds with G3RXP. If you have other calls that you wish to replace
go through the above steps again for each of those calls. When finished you
should be able to output a single adi file with the complete set of records
in your log. However, as stated before this may not be the wisest thing to
do.

Gary AL9A

Every once in a while I reboot my desktop. I just did it. When I stared

Strange.
The other windows such as Intent Cluster, DX Info, Summary, Packet are fine.
If I do a query the correct numbers come up. So, it seems just a visual
display of the Log is missing.
Any suggestions to fix? I do have backups of all files.
DXBase runs so well and for so long I forget about maintenance things to do.

Tony,
Delete the COLUMN ORDER file that you are using ...
Normally, the column order (*.co) files that we have in DXbase2007 are
titled as MyCols.co and Default.co
Whichever one you are currently using - has been corrupted..
IF you have a backup of your *.co files -- restore them -- OR --- delete the
current co file and then open DXbase2007 again
- and this time select the OTHER co file..
You shud be all ok..
