Agree, I think the most doubtful part of their plan is that we users no
longer can control what updates/patches are applied to our systems. Its
"all" or you do not get any updates from MS. Enterprise users will have
control but not consumer.
I can understand the reasons, given their history of security issues as
well as their pledge that this is the last Windows release, but we have
seen enough trouble in the past to yield total control to them.
I have spent 3 days this week trying to find out what update has caused
initialization of my computer systems to no longer work, alas no success. I
found a utility to overcome the issue but it worked properly 2 months ago
and now it doesn't.
We shall see how they perform!
