Tell vista to change the com setting ( I do it in xp and win 7) to lower the number, and default baud rates My usb com9, 10, and 11, are now 1,2 and 3 so I can use them with dxbase AND mfj software(which supports only up to com 4) Good luck Dave ve3wej/ve3ie -----Original Message----- From: dxbase-bounces at mailman.qth.net [mailto:dxbase-bounces at mailman.qth.net] On Behalf Of Halvard Eriksen Sent: February-18-13 7:59 AM To: Dxbase at mailman.qth.net Subject: [Dxbase] Radio connection. Hi. I am using a TS590 connected to my PC via USB. The operating system is Windows Vista. In the control panel the radio port shows up as COM21 using 8bit, 1stopbit no parity and 115200 baud. I am controlling the radio ok from MixWin with this setup. When I try to set up DxBase 2007 it only supports ports up to COM16 and up to 57600 baud. When I try to write 115200 in the Baud combo box I get an error message. (Only 5 characters allowed). Also an attempt to set COM21 manually in the COM Port field fails. Any good ideas? 73 de Halvard, LA7XK ______________________________________________________________ Dxbase mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/dxbase Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:Dxbase at mailman.qth.net This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html
