[Dxbase] Unable to open DXBase 2007

Hi Jack,
Thanks for taking the time to get back to me on my problem. You are
correct as to what I did, it was my first time using
The Selection Wizard. I wanted to try generating an ADIF file of my log. I
will tell you what I did in the Selection Wizard.
In the "Select Existing Configuration File window" I saw the path
"C:\Program Files\Scientific Solutions\DXbase 2007"
and said well I have to tell it which file I want to use so I typed in
N4KW.mdb and hit the start button. The screen flashed a few times and I
could not believe it was done. Closed it out and closed down DXBase. Then
I went to look for the file using
Windows Explorer and looked in the DXB2007 folder to find my adi file, not
there, but saw N4KW.mdb with a 2kb file size.
My heart sank and I went back to open DXB2007 and it would not open. I was
in shock, oh my god all my Q's and all the various DXBase versions dating
back to the early versions of DOS come down to this, I was in shock.
Neal tried a system restore dating back to Aug 30, 2012. That did not work.
I then heard from Joe and he advised me to use my back up data base, which I
did and it worked great. Next he went through the steps of generating and
ADI file and told me to never write in that window in the Selection Wizard
and why, it simply writes over your existing mdb. So now I know, and
thought for sure I had to tell DXBase which file I wanted to make into an
ADI file. I am back in business and all is back to normal. And thanks to
everyone who came to my assistance.
I have been backing up my files for years and sure was glad I had.
