The mytest1 and 2 entries are being auto populated in the log because those
text strings are set in your user options. Go change the options and you
can eliminate them going forward. The entries do no real harm in your log.

You could delete those columns, Hank. I have them suppressed in my QSO Log
display, so I have to delete the fills by going into the Summary window.
But I don't find it particularly annoying since I only use DXbase as an
archive log with imported ADIF's from N1MM.

just recently, whenever I enter a qso into the log, it automatically
populates the "special1" and "special2" columns with the words mytest1 and
mytest2, respectively. I have no idea what caused this, and I certainly
didn't type those words in myself. in fact I have never typed anything at
all into either of those 2 fields. anybody know how this is happening? how
to fix it so it doesn't happen?
