Mike,
Back when I upgrade to 2007 from 2006 there was no problems with the
templates I used. However, there was a very minor 'got ya!' when I did the
update to v.1.09. It had to do with the 'justification' command and was
easily fixed, and now that I think of it a minor hic-up with the way some
images were presented. If you check back through the archives you will find
in detail what I had to do, but the short version was import each template,
make the adjustments if necessary, check templates both on screen and print
and save.
As for the /root directory I believe that is what is recommend now. The only
real reason I put DXBase in the /root of my primary drive was so I did not
have to chase folders to find a file. Also, make sure you check paths for
all your images when you move DXBase. I think the mapping is relative, but
again can't remember for sure.
