I am the Author of the k3 file.
If you have VFO IND set OFF on the K3 then it will always place both
VFO's on the same band
Dxbase only attempts to set VFOB when it is setting up split so in
non-split situations it's not sending any command to set VFOB
About the only way I can think to acheve this is to find the line in
radios.ini
Back it up by making a copy
Open it in Notepad
Find the section beginning with
[ELECRAFT_K3]
Find the line that reads
SetVFOA=asc( "FR0;" ) asc( "FA" ) dec( %vfoa,11 ) asc( ";" ) asc("MD") dec( %mode,1) asc ( ";" ) eoc(0)
Alter it to read
SetVFOA=asc( "FR0;" ) asc( "FA" ) dec( %vfoa,11 ) asc( ";" ) asc( "FB" ) dec( %vfoa,11 ) asc( ";" ) asc("MD") dec( %mode,1) asc ( ";" ) eoc(0)
This will set both VFOA AND VFOB to the same frequency each time VFOA is
set.
In cases where split is required the SelectVFOB command the comes along
later along with the SetSplit should take care of correctly setting up
split
I am not at my K3 right now to test this and would be interested in
hearing how you get on
