Subject: [Dxbase] DxBase and DX Atlas
I am running XP Pro Version 2002 with SP3. I recently upgraded to a new
mother board and a AMD Phenom 9850 Quad-Core processor. In doing this I
installed a new copy of DxBase 2007 and a new DX Atlas ver. 2.25. At first
DxB could not find DX Atlas. Several computer restarts later and a
re-install of DX Atlas, DxB found DX Atlas. It opens it and a few seconds
later both DxB and DX Atlas shut down. I have just enough time to see if I
can control DX Atlas and I can move the MAP around before it shuts down.
Also, while it is open, DxB will not let me do anything with it like talk to
Ve7cc. It is like it is frozen. I have both programs opened on separate
monitors so I can easily move between them. But, 5 or 6 seconds is all I
get before they shut down.
I have remove all programs I think may be in conflict from my start-up
folder thinking the problem may be somehow connected to other programs. By
the way, I am running VE7CC VER. 2.3971. It does communicate with DxB in
that new spots will show up in DxBase during those 5-6 seconds that both DxB
and DX Atlas are actually running together but DxB will not talk to VE7CC.
I believe that DX Atlas is working ok as a standalone program and I also
believe that DxBase is working ok as a standalone program. Just not good
together.
Both programs worked together before I upgraded. However, I was using ver
2.21 of DX Atlas then. Maybe I will try to get another copy of 2.21 and
start over.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks, Ben KB1FJ
