Hi Jim
Thanks for your support, as well as the others who have expressed it, either
in person or via email. It provides some buffer from the more skeptical
crowd (although I share their attitude on my performance so far).
Larry is right that its not really an economic decision to go to Dayton or
Fredrichschafen. I lived in Belgium for quite a while and worked for a
Belgian company for 25 years and always meant to go before my back blew out.
Alas, unless I take a cruise ship to Europe, I doubt I will be in Germany
anytime soon!
I am sure that Jack seldom made a profit on the trip to Dayton but the
"competition" was there so he had to be in order to compete. Apologies to
the person who had the booth this year, but his logging software was no
competition to DXBase (it didn't even have a rig interface!).
After working the Flex booth two years, it might be worth having my own
booth just so I had a place to sit down! I don't know how much the motorized
carts cost, if its anywhere near the booth cost, I might be forced to have a
booth next year!
Anyway, in the grand scheme of life, DXBase is a little speck of enjoyment.
I am proud to have it as my responsibility as well as proud that people like
WA6AXE spend so much time making it better.
