[Dxbase] Hosts File

Not only here on the reflector do I see problems for people to find
or change the Hosts file. Is there any reason the file has to be in
the Windows directory? Why wouldn't DXbase work fine if it looked in
the DXbase director? Maybe name it Nodehosts or something else, it's
just a text file and yet I'm having local hams around me asking for
help to find it.
I've changed it many times and now have it written for me with just
CC Cluster nodes in it.
Also isn't it about time the Microsoft DB files were changed to say
TEXT files that don't take old MS junk to work with them. I say this
since I've had almost every cluster node running here, (now off the
web) my last change was from ARCluster to CC Cluster with much
greater speed and far less maintenance upkeep using TEXT data files.
Maybe Neal has some thoughts on this?
