Ron, AE5E reminded me that many have already done an installation and might
need to properly uninstall DXBase before installing it the correct way.
Note: This is really for Vista and Win7 users, you do not need to do this
with XP, ME, 2000, etc.
0. Make sure you have a backup of your log. If you have done modifications
to refdata.mdb, save that into your documents folder.
1. Go to the control panel, select Programs and click on DXBase 2007
2. Click Uninstall
3. Go to the old program directory and delete any remaining files
4. Go to C:\Windows and delete the file Dxb2007.ini
5. Reboot your computer
6. Do the steps I outlined on how to install DXB on Vista and Win7

>> 2. Unzip the .zip file to expose the .reg file. If you are running a 64
> bit version of Vista/Windows 7, right-click on the reg file and select
> 'Edit'. In Notepad, replace the following line:
> [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Scientific Solutions\Dxb2007]

> [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Wow6432Node\Scientific Solutions\Dxb2007]
> Save the modified reg file.
>> 3. Double click the .reg file and when asked if it's ok to store in

>> 4. Save the .reg file to a floppy, thumb drive, CD, or some media off of

>> 5. Create a new directory at the base of your main disk drive called
> Dxb2007 (ie., C:\Dxb2007\)
>> 6. Run the DXBase installer. After the screen where you enter your
> callsign, there is a prompt on where to install the program. DO NOT ACCEPT

>> 7. After the installer has finished. Open the directory where you installed
> DXBase (ie., C:\Dxb2007). Find Dxb2007.exe . Right click on the file and

>> 8. Repeat the same action as described in step 7 for the programs
> Dxbutility.exe, Ugdxbase.exe and Import.exe
