[Dxbase] IMPORTING ADIF FILE

Don,
It sounds like your original import of the adif file went correctly because
DXBase is telling you another import would created duplicate records. Did
you make a backup of your mdb before the import? If so I would start over
with the backup copy of the mdb file and then do another import. That will
avoid the duplicate record problem, but you might want to check some other
things before trying the import again.
First, go back to WL and reopen the JIDX contest file. Check the dates in
the log. Are they correct or was your clock's date off? If the log looks
ok open the adif file you created from WL and look at the entries. Do they
seem ok? When you use the Non-DXBase import utility did you enter anything
in the Notes, Special-1 or Special-2 fields. I usually make a short
notation in one or both of the Special fields so I can do a search later in
DXB if necessary.
Whenever I import from WL the import (DXBase2006) sets the QSLVia field to
None. Try searching that field to see if you can find a bunch of records
with None in that field. Another possibility my be the PWR field. The
import always leaves this field blank. If you have DXB set a default power
level for normal QSOs you may be able to find records that have empty PWR
settings.
If all this fails you might try the repair data base utility just in case
something else is screwed up. Good luck.
73,
Gary AL9A
