Just in case you are interested, here is the welcome text for new orders!
Thanks so much for the order. You are automatically qualified for version 10
which hopefully will come out at the end of this Summer.
*Attached is your new registration key, along with instructions on how to
adapt it for 64 bit operating systems as well as the user instructions. If
you see no attachments to this email, please let me know.
You can download the DXBase 2007 program at
http://www.abrohamnealsoftware.com/files/DXBase/Dxb2007.zip
You should:
1. Save the attached .zip file on the hard drive.
2. Unzip the .zip file to expose the .reg file.
3. Double click the .reg file and when asked if it's ok to store in
registry, you should say yes.
4. After done, you must save the .reg file to a floppy, thumb drive, CD, or
some media off of the hard drive for backup.
If you are using Vista or Windows 7, there are a few things that you should
do outside of the normal way to install DXBase 2007. These will not be
needed when the next release comes out but until then:
1. I would recommend to create a directory (eg. DXBase) at the root of your
C drive and install DXBase 2007 into it instead of accepting the default
location of C:\Program Files\Scientific Solutions\DXBase2007.
2. Once you have installed DXBase, open the directory you installed it in,
right-click the file called Hosts and select Copy. Then go to C:\Windows
\System32\drivers\*
*etc and paste the file there. This is needed because Windows 7 will not the
fill be installed there automatically.
3. Microsoft changed the format of Help files from the way DXBasehas them,
so you will need to install their reader in order to access the help files.
You can download it here

If you are using Vista 64bit or Windows 7 64bit versions, there is a
document attached to this email, instructing you on how to modify your
registration file to be compatible with those versions.
If you get a stern warning from Vista or Windows 7 about clicking the
registration file is dangerous, do not worry, its loading the registration
key into your system registry. If you can ignore the warnings, its okay. If,
however, it blocks you from doing the registration, go to the Control Panel,
select User Accounts and click on the hyperlink to change your User Account
Control settings. Move the slider to the bottom (no warnings), click OK and
then double-click the registration file again.

**Finally, after installation, download the prefix update file at
http://www.abrohamnealsoftware.com/wa6axe2/pfxupdates.zip to bring your
database up to date!
