[Dxbase] PJ and UA problem

Good grief, guys. I use 2006 and when I type in a prefix that is not
already recognized I get an on-screen "reminder" of that. I simply tell
the program to map (or not) the call to the prefix I have entered on the
line in the log indicating prefix. A perfect example of this is with those
moronic "TO" calls that could be about anywhere there are French
possessions. All of this, to me at least, is a no-brainer.
I can then go into the database and make the necessary "fine tuning"
adjustments.
I'm sorry, but I fail to see that this is a problem. While I do add the
new country databases to my contest program, all changes I make in DXbase
are done so manually. I did take advantage of several of Joe's fixes that
were designed to simplify things, yes, and Joe was there when I made a
couple of goofball errors. But for the most part, I've been able to
successfully manage my DXbase programs since the early 90s.
It is my hope that the next version of my favourite logging program will
incorporate some features that I don't already have. At this time, I don't
use any of the 2007 enhancements so it was not worth it to me to upgrade.
If 20** adds full dual monitor capability and a few of the other
suggestions that have been made, I expect that I will upgrade to it.
Otherwise, I am perfectly comfortable with 2006.

I can make it simpler if the folks who maintain their old database just
stick with that method and do not use the automatic update. From previous
polling, I only heard from a couple of people who were actively desiring to
maintain their databases manually (especially if there was a regular update
mechanism).
In this guise I would provide a mechanism so you can, for instance, choose
to update all of the data or one or more categories (call mapping, prefix
mapping, prefixes, qsl managers, etc).
I am considering just making it simple and making the granular choices at
that level instead of complicating things by tracking each individual entry
in the database on whether its been updated by the user or the system!
