[Dxbase] Fw: Another Thought For 2010 Rig polling.

Jack /Dave Many thanks for the reply. I thought that might be the case,
but it is a requirement in today's shack connectivity using Amps and SteppIR
all waiting to be told the frequency of the rig. I shout but nothing
happens!!!!!!!!!
The Fix here :
I have an external switch which connects RTS and CTS and this works fine
,where the antenna, bandpass filters in the amp and the Steppir are
automatically updated when the VFO or band switch is changed.. However when
I log the station by tabbing to the RST field the mode and Freq do not
always give the correct value (e.g. USB will come up when Im on CW) - I
think they go to the default value.
So I have to switch the RTS and CTS off when I log the station.
No big deal but most other logging systems do work on a continuous mode
basis. However it may be that its my SPE amp that is requesting the data to
be sent - Its all too complicated for me Hi......
I wondered if there was a connection configuration of the RS232 cabling
whereby there would be automatic polling but would give the correct logging
details. I don't know how dxbase works on this score. Is this possible?
Thanks again Dave G3RXP
