I have installed DXB2007 on at least 10 copies of Win7 and 5 copies of
Vista.
If you have already tried to install it and something wrong occurred, first
you need to start with a clean slate. In the control panel under Programs,
uninstall DXB2007. Then, go into the relevant Program Files directory (if
you are on a 64 bit system, it will be in the Program Files (x86)
directory). Delete the folder called Scientific Solutions. Then, go to the
Windows folder, find the file DXBase.ini and delete that. Then, reboot your
computer.
When it comes back up, create a folder, in the root directory of your disk
(i.e., C:\) and call it DXBase2007 (the name is not critical). Then go to
where the setup.exe file is for DXBase 2007, right click on it and select
"Run as administrator". In the dialog box that asks where to install the
program, select the folder you created at the beginning of this paragraph
(eg. C:\DXBase 2007).
After the installation has finished, go to the directory where DXBase is
installed, select the file Hosts and right click on it, then select Copy.
Now go to the Windows Folder, double click on the System32 folder, then the
etc folder and paste the Hosts file into this directory.
That will put everything in its proper spot and you should be good to go.
