If you have also down loaded EQSL credits as well as LOTW there may be a
difference in totals as well. So you may have to view only card and LOTW credit
combined.
The log information you up load is correct until later you find out that you had
entered some mistakes. Then make a band correction a time correction or date
correction, the original entry is still on LOTW, and you then have a new entry
so your total number of uploaded log data increases.
Another way of looking at it is If you uploaded an ADIF from some where to
DXBase you my have errors to correct in DXBase to get these numbers to match up
better. LOTW is like Data in is Data out. Any mistakes in uploaded datat is
what you have done.
Every error you have corrected and made corrections to, are on record. What
ever you entered is there. It is accumulative. LOTW credit matches a log entry
your given credit. If you have uploaded the wrong data then the right data, now
you have more data than you started with, thats why your numbers are off. LOTW
did not do that, you did. What ever data you up loaded is the correct data as
far as LOTW is concerned, dow not matter what you think or have corrected.
You cannot correct the data in LOTW. You can only correct it in EQSL.
You know it is just a pain in the butt to keep correcting log errors going from
one program to another. You wind up fixing errors that was corrected in one
program while the next program does not like. No consistency. I thought ADIF
had standards.
Remember LOTW really is a copy of what you actually had uploaded. This is your
base. When ever in doubt as to what you have credit for, check LOTW against
DXBase and figure out where the mistakes are. I have done that many times.
Usually I had found that I had miss entered the wrong logging info into DXBase.
DXbase catches most of the errors, but not all of them. I am sure you have
found out when going from one program to another like I have.
Stay on course, fight a good fight, and keep the faith. Jim K9TF/WA9YSD
