[Dxbase] Corrupt database in Dxb 2007

When I try to initialize tables, I get the following error message:
The value <AA0IDK) (MN> was NOT found in the State Numeric Statistics Table.
You should correct the problem by fixing the QSO data or by updating the
reference database with the valid information.
Statistics for the QSO will be ignored!
When I click OK, I get the same error message about the next alphabetical US
call in the database <AA0YY>, then the next, and the next, etc. The only way
to get out of it is to use task manager to close Dxbase completely, which of
course means that I get prompted to initialize tables when I start it again.
I tried to use the repair and compact functions, but because I am using Win
7, Dxbase repaired the version of the log in its own directory rather than
the up-to-date version in the virtual store directory under Win 7. When I
try to use the repair function on the mdb file in the virtual store
directory, the process starts and runs for a split second and then stops. If
I try to compact the db, I get an error message saying "Error creating
temporary dbname."
At this point I am stumped. I hate to do it, but maybe the next step is to
delete everything except the database, reinstall Dxbase, and try to import
from the corrupted database.
Does anyone have any other ideas?
Thanks,
Stan, W4AG
