I just rec'd a email from Bill and here is his answer. He also sent two
subsequent emails with one saying he had sent a email to all card checkers
that their stance had changed and they are now indeed accepted. He is now
going to post it on the ARRL blow so ALL are aware that it is now valid.
I am glad, as I was going to use this service last year, but at the time it
was not accepted. It is now and sorry for any confusion.

Al:
Cards from this service are OK for DXCC. All you do is upload your log
to their system and pay the fee. All they do is send your QSLs for you
instead of you doing them. There is no log checking for QSOs etc, all
they do is send your cards for you.

Bill here is some of the questions which need cleared up RE GlobalQSL..
Is
part of their service valid but part of it not. In other words if
GlobalQSL
prints the card I am guessing it is not valid.
I am not using their service so can use some insight in the event I do
later. Thanks

Al, there has to be a misunderstanding. I have had cards from GlobalQSL
accepted by DXCC. Basically they are merely another bureau service.
What
may be recalled is that GlobalQSL was not permitted to print and mail
cards
from a US station and use the the ARRL incoming QSL service to forward
that
card to another US station. But printed cards from a DX station come
through ARRL and are accepted by DXCC.

No I am not. I was very SPECIFIC when I emailed Bill. We ALL know eQSL
is
NOT good for DXCC but neither is GlobalQSL, UNLESS they have changed
their
position in the past year.
I tried to find that email BUT have changed from EUDORA to OUTLOOK and
it
got trashed. :(
I am going to email Bill again in order to have him clarify the League's
position.

You guys are thinking of eQSL not GlobalQSL. 2 different things.
GlobalQSL
is not an electronic QSL. Yes you upload your QSL's to them but they
print a
REAL QSL then send to the station via the bureau system. You receive a
REAL
card in return. All the hoopla a year or so ago was over eQSL. I have
sent
over 700 cards and received many in return and the ARRL has accepted
them.

Neal in answer to your question YES they are real QSL's, BUT, Bill Moore
at
the ARRL desk told me a year ago that they are no good toward DXCC. How
they
can tell they come from the service is beyond me but if they know they
have
come through the service they will NOT be counted.
I would suggest you drop Bill another email to clarify this situation
before
you do any programming within DXBase which might be for naught.
Have a Happy Thanksgiving and 73 de Al, K8SIX

They are real qsl card confirmations aren't they? They just print and
mail
qsl cards for you from your adif file if I understood it correctly. It
seemed kinda expensive to me when I looked at it but I am sure its a
matter
of how much you want to spend on qsls.
