Not sure how you could "lose" the cw toolbar, but try two things. First go
to Tools/Customize.. and check the boxes in the Toolbars tab. Is the CW
toolbar checked? If so, then it's probably open somewhere on the desktop
but being hidden by another open window. Try minimizing some open windows
one at a time and see if you can locate the missing toolbar. Some windows
like Previous QSOs and Packet Transmit Window will have to be closed and
then reopened as they don't have a minimize button. If you have a second
monitor on your computer the missing toolbar may have somehow gotten placed
on the extended desktop, so be sure to look there as well.
As for your comment about LOTW, I'm fairly new to that system, but I don't
think LOTW "adds" a call to your log if it's not there. At least I hope it
doesn't. If it did that then every one who mistakenly thought they had
worked me in a contest would be able to insert a QSO record into my log even
if I didn't agree. I think there are edits on import that require a match
of at least call, date, band and maybe mode. I think clock times can be off
somewhat, but not sure by how much. When LOTW records are imported they
only update the QSL received field, not the QSL sent. That happens when you
export your records via the Wizard to an ADIF file for upload to LOTW if you
instruct DXB to do so.
