There is a Programmers Guide for the Orion II that describes the control settings for the 
Orion II. Page 5 describes the control signal settings that should be used. The Orion
and the Orion II do use "hardware hand-shaking" when transferring data to and 
from the transceiver. I believe that translates, in DXBase, to RTS and CTS on (My settings). 
DTR is not used (Off). The guide can be downloaded from the TenTec website.
