Merle,
I use DXBase 2005 on a Vista machine, but only for housekeeping, like
QSLing, award tracking and so forth.
I cannot tell you how it might interface to a rig, handle spotting,
etc. I use a couple of different radios and laptops running XP-Pro for
logging QSOs and reading radio parameters. I don't use spotting, rotor
control and all of that other stuff.
The biggest problem with Vista for me is that it wants to scatter files
all over the place and DXBase is too dumb to remember where some of them
are. I do a lot of importing and exporting and this lack of memory of
where the source and target files are is particularly frustrating.

I need to update my computer in the next few months to get to a more capable machine and will probably need to move to a different OS (I am currently on XP). I notice on the DXBase website that the OS support does not include VISTA. Many of the PC manufacturers are now offering PCs with VISTA and a free upgrade to Windows 7 in October. Jack, can you, or anyone on the list that may have asked this question, tell me if there is a commitment to support DXBase on either VISTA or Windows 7 or both?
