The Virtual Path I referred to can be found at:
C:\Users\VE3SY\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files\Scientific 
Solutions\DXbase 2006
assuming of course that you used VE3SY as an account name when setting up 
Vista. If not, it will be under whatever 'user account' name you created. 
That may or may not be your administrator account.
The tricky part of this path is that the AppData folder is a hidden file. 
If you can't find it go to Control Panel\Appearance and Personalization and 
select Folder Options. On the View tab check 'Show hidden files and 
folders'. You will now be able to see the shaded outline of the AppData 
folder indicating it is a hidden folder.
To see how this works, start DXB and make some changes to your mdb file. 
Exit DXB and go to the mdb file in the Virtual Store path. Note the date 
and time the file was saved. Now open another Explorer window and go to 
your mdb file in C:\Program Files\Scientific Solutions\DXbase 2006 and check
the date and time stamp. It will be an older, perhaps smaller, file than 
the one in the Virtual Store path. Vista does not update the mdb in the 
Program Files path, only the one in the Virtual Store path. Same for your 
ref.mdb file or other mdb files you may use. The Virtual Path mdb files are
the ones you want to select when Compacting your database files.
