To all:
For those who are using the DX Atlas program, I am making a
complete Russian Districts Award (RDA) database for all
2,745 RDA Ref numbers. And, in so doing (very time consuming!),
I realized that the RDA #'s, being SO CLOSE together on the
DX Atlas MAP, would not be able to be displayed completely --
because of the "current / standard ZOOM-IN" .. We needed
to be able to ZOOM-IN just that bit extra - so that ALL of the
Labels (RDA Ref #'s and the PINS (or flags) could be shown
properly.
After talking with ALEX (VE3NEA) - he related to me that there
is ONE EXTRA line of info that can be placed into our DXAtlas.ini
file - and we could ZOOM-IN 8-times the normal/standard ZOOM!!!!!!!!
And, it sure works GREAT!!!
To be able to ZOOM-IN "more" than the standard zoom-in .. you
simply open up the DXAtlas.ini file in a word processor program
(like Notepad or Wordpad) -- and go down to the area entitled:
[Map]
In that area you place the following line of info (as is):
OverZoom=8
I placed mine JUST AFTER the line that says:
Zoom=####
This is a critical addition for the sake of Labels for
such award as RDA - where we have 2,745 Labels within the
area of Russia ...
Now - I can continue on with my finding the coordinates/grids
for just over 1,000 more RDA Ref numbers. The first 1,704
RDA Ref numbers have taken me approx 2 weeks to do .. But,
when I have the database complete, I will be posting an
EXE program for the RDA Award - along with the FULL DX Atlas
LST file for the RDA Database itself.
