check your hosts file, it(dxbase) may be using the blank one in the
windows/system32 directory, and not the one in dxbase that has the correct
ham hosts...
Did I explain that right

Subject: [Dxbase] Problem connecting to internet cluster
I have been running dxbase 2007 on an older computer running windows 98 se
with no problems. I have just bought a newer computer running XP with 2.4
gig processor,40 gig hard drive and 256 meg of ram. To put the program on
this machine, I went to the download site and downloaded the program to the
new folder created, extracted the files to the same folder and used the set
up file to install.I rebooted and launched the proram from the start menu. I
then used my reg. key and everything comes up fine saying reg'd to me etc. I
set my options and all is well until I try to connect to an internet
cluster. After selecting any one from the list and clicking ok, I go to the
window tab and on the drop down select new internet cluster. As soon as I
click on it it immediatly closes the program as if you clicked on the X at
the right hand top of the screen! The program was downloaded several times
from the 3 different NA sites with the firewall off and the antivirus off. I
am using DSL and a linksys wired router. All the same set up I used putting
it on the old 98 se computer. Which still works fine when I bring it online.
I have loosened up my internet security to medium on all sites and removed
any added programs from the computer that might conflict with dxbase. It is
a used computer and I can surf, email print etc fine.
If I go to the dxbase IP list for various sites and get the IP address for
any of them and go to Hper terminal from the start-programs menu and type in
the IP addresses I can connect to any I've tried with no problem so
telnet/hyper terminal is working on the computer.?????????????????
Anybody know what the problem is or have any suggestions? I sure would
appreciate it.
