[Dxbase] K1EL interface

Ilya,
Try this with the K1EL turned off (maybe unplugged for your interface):
In DXB goto Tools>Options>CW Options and make sure CW interface is set to
None.
Turn on K1EL
In DXB goto Tools>Options>CW Options and choose the WinKey Options Tab
(third one) and make sure that Com port is set to the port you have the
WinKey plugged in to. It should go without saying that you should have no
other hardware or software addressing the same port as the WinKey keyer.
There should be no errors when you press the OK button.
If configuration finds the Keyer then you can set the interface to the K1EL
option under the CW interface tab.
Important - anytime you wish to change configuration, set the CW interface
to none first, make the changes and then set CW interface back to K1EL after
the new configuration. I find that once K1EL is up and running it is as
solid as a rock and runs forever.
As I said before, with the new WinKey chip on my computer it is impossible
to open the keyer twice. I am sure this problem has only started with the
new chip version. I do not have the old chip to try so can not be entirely
sure. (If others are having the same problem may we should let Jack know.)
If you still have a problem starting WinKey repost and I am sure someone
else can give you addition help.
