If I send a DX station an e-mail saying "I worked you on August 15th
at 0845Z on 14195 SSB with a report of 59, PSE QSL" that e-mail
wouldn't count to the DX station. However, if he receives my e-mail,
writes out a card and pops it into his next bureau shipment to the
'States, his reply to me is perfectly valid.
Printing out a PDF, on the other hand IS an electronic transmission
and would NOT be accepted. The point I was making, though, is with
current home printing technology, what would the odds be of a
well-done PDF card not getting caught by a checker. (Don't try this
at home, kids).
