[Dxbase] Kenwood TS-850S - with the DXbase Internal CW Interface -
anyone tried this?

To all who own Kenwood TS-850S,
I have always run CW using my 1958 bought J-38 Straight Key.
Since I have never tried to run Keyboard CW using the
DXbase Internal CW interface, I brewed up that circuit
that is in the DXbase help files - and noted that (using
a VOM/DMM) the voltage was "negative" (using the 2N3904/2N2222
NPN transistor) -- and of course - NO keying!!
So, I put in a PNP transistor and the keying is there -
just that it is reversed -- I do not have any way to
invert it..
Has anyone out there with a Kenwood XCVR - ever got a circuit
made up properly to run the DXbase Internal CW Interface?
Just trying to see "if" my station setup would truely allow
the use of the DXbase Internal CW Interface..
Any thoughts?
