[Dxbase] Radio Connection

My advise is to check all your serial connections and modes. Use the
terminal mode to be sure it sends strings to your COM port. Be sure you are
plugged into the REMOTE connector and your CI-V is working ok... check your
radio to be sure the baud is correct or just try changing bauds. 9600 or
4800 works best. Turn off the IC-735 mode. Ordinary stuff like that.
Sounds like there could be a slight mismatch in word length that is causing
faulty data to be transmitted... also check different combinations of the
check boxes of DTR and RTS etc in case it is freezing the interface. What
kind of interface are you using?
It is a solid interface, so once you get it working, should work great.
Good luck, Michael

Subject: [Dxbase] Radio Connection
I am using DXBase 2003 and having a problem connecting to my radio. My
settings are as follows
Radio Icom 756PRO
Port Com 4
Baud 1200
Parity None
Word Length 8
Stop Bits 1
If i then check the "connect radio" box and "OK" the transmitter triggers
and stays on! The only way to get it off seems to be to uncheck the
connect box.
This used to work fine but I had to reinstall windows some time ago and ever
since then I can't get it reconnected properly. Any ideas?
Thanks
Steve
