[Dxbase] MMD/DX Base interface notes

Hi all,
After trying MMD with MMTTY and DX Base, here are a couple of
suggestions. IF you have frequency control interfaced to DX Base
already, you must go into MMD, Options, DX Base and turn off sending
frequency information to DX Base (i.e. check the do-not-send option).
Otherwise it will send 14000.0 to DX Base (or whatever the default
band is in MMTTY's setup) instead of the actual operating frequency.
In DX Base, if you don't use anything OTHER than RTTY as a digital
mode (no PSK or anything else), make your default PSK mode RTTY. This
will populate the MODE column with RTTY when you use MMTTY.
Otherwise, so far, I've found no other combination of settings that
will allow an MMTTY QSO to show up as RTTY and a PSK-31 QSO to show
up as DIGITAL in the MODE column.
Since I don't operate any PSK or Olivia, etc, that's fine for me, but
if anybody has a way to log PSK/etc as DIGITAL and MMTTY RTTY
contacts as RTTY, I'd love to know.
Cheers,
Peter,
W2IRT
