sounds serious
if a 'initialization' does not solve your problem you may have to redo the import to
DXB2005.
First make a backup of your '.mdb' file and save to a good place.
then go to the Program group and choose DXBASE IMPORT.
Make a copy of Virgin.mdb and rename it to yourcall.mdb
What your doing is....the source will be the corrupted .mdb file and the target will be
the COPY OF Virgin.mdb file which you renamed to yourcall.mdb
Usually that corrects that type of problem.
Good luck.

Subject: [Dxbase] Bad File
When I got home from work, I noticed that we had a brief power outage.
DXB(2005) on my "Radio" computer asked me to "initialize" the file. Did so
a few minutes ago and I am get a message saying --for example--
"KC1XX <K>> was not found in the DXCC Numeric Statistics Table. You should
correct this problem by fixing the QSO data or by updating the reference
database..."
There were a few instances of the QSOs (same prefixes) not showing on the
County Numeric Data bases.
I would not mind trying the first suggestion but I found that "many many
QSOs also are identified". As far as I could tell, it involves all the
KA,KB,KC,KD,KE...prefixes.
I have virtually the exact same version of DXB and files running on my other
computer on the same network. It would be a small matter to simply copy the
appropriate files over and replace the corrupted files. I have the Log file
as well, not completely backed up but only missing a small number of Qs.
My question is, is this a problem with a specific program file or is it a
problem with the main log file? In other words, which files should I
replace? The only difference between the two installations is the problem is
on a Windows 98 SE and my good files are on a Windows XP machine.
Thanks,
Bill, W5VX
