To all:
Caution when you add/modify a Mapped Prefix in the
Call Map or Alias Map tables..
The meaning of the column "Old1 Date" is
"Equal or Less than this DATE"
So, in the case of the addition of KH8S (Swains Island)
to the Alias Map table, the entries should be as follows:
Map PFX = KH8S
Pri PFX = KH8S
Old1 PFX = KH8
Old1 Date = 07-21-2006
So, also, in the case of the addition of YU6 (Montenegro)
to the Alias Map table, the entries should be as follows:
Map PFX = YU6
Pri PFX = YU6
Old1 PFX = YU
Old1 Date = 06-27-2006
In each of the above examples - the ARRL has stated that:
Therefore, effective June 28, 2006 (UTC), ARRL has added The Republic of
Montenegro to the DXCC List.
and --
QSOs made with Swains Island on or after 0001Z, July 22, 2006 will count
for DXCC credit.
As can be seen, the Old1 Date column reflect the "previous" DAY
- as compared to the "effective date".. This setup can be checked
out by making the entries (as shown above) - and then make
2 entries for each of the entities -- one will be
Swains Island example:
07-21-2006 2359 KH8SI and hit TAB .. you will see that this
entry gives the Prefix of KH8
then --
07-22-2006 0001 KH8SI and hit TAB .. now, this entry
gives the Prefix of KH8S
