[Dxbase] QSL Via Question

I noticed that when I make a log entry in DXBase 2006 the QSL VIA column 
block automatically populates with what ever was entered in that block for 
the last QSO in the log with that station even though in my USER OPTIONS, 
LOG DEFAULTS I have the default for QSL VIA set to NONE.
I don't remember it working this way before DXBase 2006. I prefer that it 
auto-populate what I have set in LOG DEFAULTS, i.e. NONE.
Is there a way to do this that I'm missing?
Did this behavior actually start with DXBase 2006 or is my memory bad?
