Larry,
I wish I had some answers. But my speculation is that this isn't going to
work for internal CW because the driver is expecting to see a "real" serial
port with direct lead access, not a converted one. My advice is to look at
the Winkey ( K1EL ) device which is fairly inexpensive and doesn't rely on
any drivers to work. I have never used a USB/Serial conversion but maybe
some others could tell you if they have tried USB/serial conversion to
connect with Winkey.
