Folks,
We are pleased to let you know that the development and beta testing of
DXbase 2007 is now complete. Once again, our beta team did an outstanding
job of guiding us through the process and testing to make sure that DXbase
continues to be rock solid.
We are currently getting the web site and files ready for release and hope
to have that completed in the next several days. We think you'll like some
of the new features that allow you to have IOTAs alerted similar to the way
DX spot alerts work. Makes chasing IOTA a piece of cake. You'll also like
the new feature so that when you click on a DX/IOTA spot to QSY, DXbase will
now automatically select radio1 or radio 2 along with rotor1 or rotor2.
And, once you work that needed one, you can add it to a new Exclude database
so that future DX/IOTA spots don't alert you unnecessarily. Our beta team
seemed to like this feature best of all. All the new countries and IOTAs
are in the database so nothing to add. We've added the ability to
automatically lock the packet windows when your mouse enters that window and
automatically unlock the window a few seconds after your mouse cursor stops
moving in the window.
We will be posting other feature changes on our web site in the next few
days. For those who upgrade from DXbase 2006, you'll be pleased to know
that nearly all of your current options, screen settings/colors, etc... are
retained so that there is very little necessary to start using the new
release. For those using earlier versions, you'll have a little more setup
to establish some of the new options that you've been missing out on.
Once again, our hat is off the the beta team.
Thanks,
Jack
