AR User uses port 7300 for LAN connections. You need to tell DX Base to
call on 127.0.0.1:7300
I've set up my hosts file to include the following line first:
127.0.0.1:7300 localhost AR User
Go into AR User (did you download and install the latest executable?).
Select Configuration, Ports/Logging Program and make sure Node Connection
has TELNET ticked and also Logging Program Connection has TELNET ticked,
then hit APPLY.
Go into DX Base, in the User Options/Internet and select entry you created
in your hosts file above. Reboot both apps, making sure that "Connect
Interface at Program Startup" is ticked if you're on v2006 and that AR User
is up and actually connected to the cluster of your choice before
connecting DX Base. It should work at that point. I have AR User come up at
boot-up just to be sure.
