I use 4 x 6 inch card stock Oxford blank index cards 100 to a pack oxford
no is 90104 and I get it from Staples/Business Depot.
I have no connection to either the manufacturer or the seller.
My printer is a Canon I560 and I can feed the cards thru either on the 4
inch edge or the 6 in edge and they take the Canon Ink I use without a
problem if you do not handle them for a moment or two as they come off the
printer. Oxford does not make 3.5 by 5.5 post card size. You can find
postcard size from Avery in 4 up to a sheet 2 x 2 and 3 up to a sheet. The
3 up is easier to find than the 4 up size. The 4 up layout can also be
found from a Ham source in Oregon I think it is or Washington state but I
have never tried that source. I find it expensive to go this way. I print
my cards with a 1/4 inch white border so the existing card in DXBase needs
to have the page set up redefined to pint in center of 4 x 6 instead of 3.5
x 5.5 size. When I want glossy card stock I use Staples/Business Depot
glossy photo paper for Ink Jet Printers in 4 x 6 inch format and I get that
in boxes of 100 sheets. I have also used the same type of paper from Canon.
As a QSL Manager I have printed thousands of cards this way. I occasionally
get a miss feed where the card has feed in at an angle but it is not a
frequent occurrence. I frequently print more than 200 cards at a time. I
use draft mode on plain white card stock for black ink only and standard
printing for colour on plain white card stock and photo standard with photo
paper. Obviously the photo paper prints are brilliant but at a slower print
speed compared to the others. I have had this I560 for almost 2 years now.
I like it because it has separate ink cartridges for each colour and black.
