I start ARU first. I'm assuming your wish an Internet connection.
A Packet Connection is similar but I don't use that feature.
In the Configuration Menu select Cluster.
Choose a Node, only AR or Spider nodes are listed which allows the advanced features of
ARU to be utilized.
You can either connect now or wait.
Now start DXB.
Go to Tools, Options, Internet
In the IP Host window, normally the first entry is:
127.0.0.1:7300 localhost ypoxkjlg
(I have no idea what the ypoxkjlg means)
If it isn't there, you will have to use the Modify Hosts feature from the File Menu Item
to enter it.
Select that as your choice, enter the User Login (normally this is your callsign)
You can now open the Internet window.
You will see some housekeeping messages as it connect to ARU.
If ARU is connected, you will see spots as they come in.
If ARU was NOT connected, CONNECT now and you will see the housekeeping messages.
ARU has EXTENSIVE filters. you can select spots FROM and spots NOT FROM.
You can add words, calls, whatever to the filtering so obnoxious ann messages will never
get to your screen.
Just let ARU run in the background.
Good luck, any questions feel free to call 708 867 4731
