I do the same here. I work RTTY when I see a needed
Spot (284 DXCC RTTY worked) I open MMTTY and log in
DXB which is already open. I don't see a problem. I
Don't work RTTY except to chase a new DXCC on that mode.

Hamscope does work (I've had it since mid-2003), but the interface is
fairly clunky, IMHO. Not just that, every serious RTTY user I've ever
met uses MMTTY, most have all the macros set up perfectly and it's
functionality is second-nature.
Does Hamscope do the job? Sure -- but I don't think it's a preferred
way to do RTTY for those serious about digital modes. Since DX Base
is a high-end program targeting experienced users -- and is
essentially the best in its class -- it makes sense to tie it into a
similar best-in-class RTTY application as well.
Put another way, when a rare RTTY spot comes on now, I don't open up
Hamscope to work him, I open MMTTY and manually log afterwards. I'd
be willing to bet a cup o' coffee that I'm not the only one who does
this either ;-).
Cheers!
