The use of the 1200 baud rate was my doing; tha'ts what the 756Pro has been 
set to since I get it (2d owner). Since it had always worked at that speed 
(until the current problem), I left it at that. In trying to fix the problem, I 
did not want to change any more settings than seemed necessary.
