[DXBase] Background on Joe WA6AXE

Good evening to all on the reflector,
I thought that I would take this opportunity to give some
details of my background and info about me.
I am 60 years old and live in Sherman, Texas.. I was born and
raised near Los Angeles (yes - the WA6AXE call is from there).
I joined the US Navy in May 1962 and stayed with it for 22 years -
retiring in January 1984. After that, I moved to North texas
(about 75 miles north of Dallas) - where I was employed by
Texas Instruments, Inc / MEMC - as a Machine maintenance repairman.
I stayed with TI/MEMC for 17+ years, and fully retired 3 years ago.
I am active on the HF Bands from the house - with a TS-850s a/t
and a Cushcraft R-5 vertical.. Nothing big!! Hi!!
I came in DXbase during DXbase98 - and have been with Jack and crew
ever since. The one thing - during the early days - that caught my
attention, was the labels and reports - and the real power that was
built-into DXbase.. So, my specialty would be always in the realm
of Labels/ QSL cards/ and reports.
But, I am just a DXbase (windows) USER. I love to help out where I
can - but it is always as just another USER!!
That is the story of my life - LOL !!
