Another advantage to using the AR User program is that it has an auto
reconnect option if the telnet session fails. I can only echo Firebrick, a
really slick user interface to manage an AR cluster.

No, the alerts seem to be global.
What you choose on the Alert menu effects both vhf and internet.
You can only open one Internet or one cluster at the same time.
But....
If you need this, I can tell you a work around.

AR user allows you to connect to a cluster and REALLY REALLY filter spots,
announcements
etc.
Really slick. filter by country, band, state, whatever.
And then in DXB, you select local host as the choice of telnet connection.
And AR User then sends the spots to DXB as if it was connected to the
Cluster.
I use this in contests to feed both DXB and Writelog.
This way I don't miss a needed Challenge band/mode slot while contesting.
And did I say it was free....

Currently you can operate a VHF Packet DXcluster and an Internet Cluster at
the same time. I connect to both, with the VHF filtered for US spots
only, and the Internet Cluster not filtered enabling me to see what's on
even when I don't have propagation to hear it at the time.
Would it be possible to generate alerts only from the VHF cluster window?
Would it be possible to make 2 different Internet cluster windows active at
the same time?
