???? Why????
You say you created a special column format yet you didn't put time where
you wanted it. Why not just change the order of the columns? I also am
inputing some old none-confirmed-QSO logs and I set DXBase's columns as an
exact match to the old logs. Why couldn't you do that?
And here's a bonus tip I learned the hard was, always put the mode in front
of the RSTs and RSTr columns even if the columns in the log you are
transcribing are not in that order.

I've been transcribing some VERY old logs into DXB and then to LoTW.
Lots of typing.
I created a special Column format with just the info I need to upload to
LoTW.
I had one small problem.
After entering the callsign I wish to go directly to the TIME field of the
next entry.
Hitting return just advances to each field and eventually gets me there.
But that's time consuming and I have to watch the screen.
Hitting a down arrow and two left arrows gets me there.
But that means taking my fingers off the home keys as I can't quite reach
the arrow keys.
Inadvertently I'd miss and not notice as I'm looking and trying to decipher
the log page
scribbling.
I found a small macro program (not free), that allowed me to remap the
"program open" key
on my Microsoft style keyboard. It's the key between the right CTR and
Windows keys.
I made a macro that allows me to do a DOWN, LEFT, LEFT, which returns me to
the TIME field
to enter the next log line info.
