[DXBase] .MDB File Size

I went through the same issue.. I keep a backup copy of my log on my second
computer and my log file had bloated its way up to more than 80 Megs (22,000
Qs). Someone suggested that I find a little program named "access
maintainer.exe" and it would do the compacting job. Boy did it ever! My file
was reduced to less than 10 Megs and it only takes a moment. I don't
remember where I found it but it was free. I guess go to ZDnet or maybe just
type the name in Google. This little program should be built into DXBase for
sure!
Each time you use it, it will re-expand some but not to the extent that it
was and you can use it as many times as you like.

Subject: [DXBase] .MDB File Size
After importing DXB 2003 into DXB 2004 I noticed the size of my K4XG.MDB
file
increased from 24 megs to 54 megs. I have just over 24,000 QSOs in the
file.
Is this normal to increase this much? Thank you.
Tom Neill, K4XG
