I for one would like to see this fixed as IOTA beam headings are important
to me especially if the country is close like Canada. There are other
examples like say OC095 287 degrees and the 3D2 country is 259.7 degrees
from my location. I would imagine the problem being even bigger for the EU
users. There is a table in DXBase that contains LAT/LON info for the IOTAs
so Jack can have fun working on the next release this winter. One other
thing about Canada, the US is so close to Canada that a country beam
heading is all most useless. Canada beam headings should be by province
please.

Many thanks for your reply but in simple terms it would be better to have
the Beam headings based on Country info irrespective of what page the
Summary window is on if it is too involved to change. As it is I get
erroneous headings if I leave the Summary on IOTA which is quite frankly a
real pain.
I am sure I am not alone in saying that the IOTA bearings are generally not
that relevant and we can all live with the Country bearings.
Again thanks for a great program

David,
I can't make any committments about this at the moment. I can certainly see
the advantage of looking at what Summary window is active and using that
information. But, there was never any code put in place to do this and make
any comparisons of what window is active, is there a beam heading and if so
use that otherwise default to something else. That's code that doesn't
exist. Will see.
Regards,
Jack
