date copy of your database, but rather the one that was there when you
opened DXBase the last time. DXBase holds lots of information in hand and
on closing writes that information to your database files indices and tables
with the latest closing information. So to properly backup your database you
need to it after closing DXBase.

might be missing after you restore from a backup done while DXBase is open.

Very true and a good point Garth
I have a shortcut on my desktop that I run when shutting down for the day.
And as I have multiple .mdb files for the stations I manage, I open and
close DXB a couple of times daily when switching back and forth.
So my files are pretty up to date and running the .bat file from the Program
menu saves those closed .mdb files.
But it is a good idea to keep your point in mind and do the backup outside
of DXBase also.
Question for Jack or Courtney. Does doing a Initialize or Closing the Log
window flush stored data to the .mdb? I believe that making Style changes is
saved to the .ini file when closing the Style window. Is that correct? Think
Window size and placements changes may be saved at same time but not sure.
