There is no way I know of to do a selective import or export. Unless you
have Microsoft Access 97 about the only think you can do is as follows:
1) Make copies of your log database file (IT9GSF.mdb?) and name them for all
of the separate database titles you want to break it up into. If you choose
countries you'll have to make one copy for every country.
2) Start DXBase 2002 and go to the menu Tool/Options/User Options and check
the box Database and Field Order.
3) Exit the program and restart it and select the first database name you
want to work on. Sort by your chosen criteria. Go down to the first entry
that doesn't meet that criteria. Hit the left most column so the whole row
is highlighted. Use the scroll bar on the right and pull it all the way
down to the bottom. With a 40,000 QSO log you'll have to do this a bunch of
times. Do not click on any other field or you'll have to start again. When
you get to the bottom hold down the shift key and click the left column
again. When you have the whole block highlighted go to menu Record/Delete
Record.
4) Exit the program and repeat for each country.
This is tedious. Maybe you could split up the database using the above
method into smaller pieces.
