None at all that I can see.
Sometimes I call it, but most times I run it the same as you do.
On the other monitor.
There is one benefit, although somewhat obtuse.
For people who can't get DXBase to send cw over a comport.
If you call MMTTY or Hamscope which has a ptt set to a com port.
You can then send cw.
At least on my system when I was struggling to make cw work. If I opened
either and had the com port set. I could send cw. Turn off MMTTY and it
would shut down the comport.
