Steve,
In case you don't find an "elmer", maybe this would help.
1. From MSDOS, change directory to your DXB50 directory.
2. Run import.bat, choose the export to ADIF option. This will read all
your QSOs and create a new file ending in the .adi file extension. This is
the file that you will import into your DXbase 2003.
3. Close down the import utility after your data is exported.
Now, to get the data into DXbase 2003...
1. From the Windows Start button on lower left of your screen, select
Program Files, and then DXbase, and then select Non DXB Import. ( We choose
non DXB import because we are importing an ADIF file and not a DXbase
file ).
2. The first screen asks for the target database. Use the drop down arrow
and select the path to your DXbase 2003 folder and then from the files
listed choose the one for your data. It should be yourcall.mdb where
yourcall is the callsign you entered during the installation.
3. On the next screen, Source Data Type is ADIF, DXbase 2003 full path is
the full path to where your DXbase 2003 folder is located and the entry
should end with a backslash. ( It is usually default populated with this
info ).
4. Source Database File is the .adi file created when you exported your
DXB50 data. Click the button to the right of this field and select the .adi
file in your DXB50 folder.
5. Operator callsign is your callsign.
6. Check the Load All Records selection in upper right box.
7. Click the green icon on the main toolbar menu.
At this point, you should see the records being read into DXB2003. If you
don't see this, or you get any error messages, then you must have messed up
one of the steps above.
After completed, close the import window. Now run DXbase 2003 and select
tools/initialize tables after it boots up.
Hope this helps,
Courtney
