[DXBase] Features and bugs (or are they the same?)

Gang,
I'm using DXB2000 now, and contemplating new software. I've hesitated to
upgrade thus far because none of the features I saw I could use. The
biggest problem I have encountered is keeping the databases current. I was
told some time back that KG4 would not be altered from Gitmo, and with the
number of KG4 stations out there in the continental US, this is a problem
since DXB won't accept a state for DX stations.
Also, I use TR Log for contesting, and the LogConv utility to go to ADIF.
When I import the NAQP file into DXBase, the state is not recognized
(although the abbreviation goes into the QTH field). I have to go back and
manually input state information by QSO. The import/export routines for
DXBase sdf files don't work at all, so ADIF appears to be the only option.
Before I plunk down more cash, I'd like some indication of how these issues
are addressed in later versions:
1. Ease of Database maintenance
2. Import capability
DX Base is an excellent program ... I wouldn't have purchased it otherwise.
But is has proven (at least in my humble opinion) to be rather high
maintenance.
